A framed piece of Kiwi history: a photo print of Mt Ruapehu's dramatic 1995 eruption, with the giant ash column lit by the setting sun over the snow-covered summit.
Below it is the matching NZ Post $10 Mt Ruapehu stamp from the 1996 Scenic issue, with a Stamp Points cancel dated 1 January 1996. That's the issue's first day, which is what stamp collectors look for.
Double mounted in navy with a gold edge, in a warm timber frame under glass. Approx 50 x 42cm. Good condition, with a couple of small marks on the mount in the top right corner. It looks great on the wall of a bach, a Central Plateau or Ruapehu ski fan's home, or a stamp collector's den.
